Welcome
Many years ago, I dedicated the book of my playing career (called My World is Round) to every young player in Australia who enjoys the world's greatest game and said that:
"Dreams do come true if you're prepared to work hard."
I still believe this today.
I had a wonderful and enjoyable career as a professional footballer - something I didn't dream of when I played my first game at age 7 in Papua New Guinea. I've also experienced the ups and downs of being a coach: a championship, defeating some of the top countries in the world, decisions going for us, decisions going against us, not performing as well as we could and doing things about which I should have known better.
My ambition when I finished playing was to have a successful career as coach and to continue to contribute to the game I love. This ambition is not diminished or changed, whether guiding the young guys in PNG national team, working with highly experienced professionals in the Socceroos or working with an A-League or other team in another level of competition.
This website is for young players, wherever they are, to learn a little through reading and seeing some of the things I and my team mates have done and achieved as football in Australia has developed. It's also about connecting with fans who, regardless of their opinion, I value because we have one overriding love in common: football. You're invited to have a look around and get in touch.
Enjoy your football!
Cheers
Frank
